This college was established in 1970 to provide students with an avenue for higher studies and initially affiliated to Poona University and then with the establishment of North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon since 1990. Our academic institute play’s a great role in enabling young people to have a grand vision and to equip them with overall ability and precise skill to change the vision into reality. We decide an aim to give good higher education to rural and tribal younger ones for their better tomorrow. We follow this aim from the establishment of this institute and we have succeeded it till today. We open the doors of Arts and Commerce faculty for the sons and daughters of poor farmers and workers. Overall, 90% students in our college are coming from rural and tribal area for shaping their future. Now, the college has taken initiatives to run science stream to fulfill the demand from society. I must express my gratitude to dynamic and energetic Principal Prof (Dr.) Prakash Lohar, all faculty members, non-teaching staff and workforce. I have endeavored to bring this wider perspective to bear on the many opportunities and challenges that lie ahead of the institute. I am sure that the students of the current and future generations will now be competent to face new challenges and also be ready to grab all the opportunities that come their way.

Dear Students,
Welcome to the SSVPS Bagal College family! Since its inception, our college has focused on providing opportunities for students from rural, semi-urban, and tribal areas to acquire knowledge and skills for self-reliance. Since becoming Principal in July 2023, I have worked to enhance our infrastructure and educational facilities to ensure quality education. We believe that access to quality education is crucial for India’s growth and leadership on the global stage.
The college focuses on holistic development, offering not only a strong academic foundation but also opportunities for leadership, creativity, and interdisciplinary learning through a gymkhana, auditorium, playground, science labs, computer lab, and extensive library. We organize various conferences, seminars, and exhibitions to foster critical thinking and knowledge sharing.
With NCC, NSS, and the Student Development Section, we help students develop social and moral values. Together with the dedicated staff, I am committed to making this college a center of excellence. Best wishes to you all in becoming future leaders and role models!
